YPAS North Community Hub design a calming multi-sensory room

After being awarded funding from a local Tesco store our North Community Hub have designed a calming multi-sensory room. This new addition to our north hub combines a range of stimuli to help individuals develop and engage their senses. These include lights, colours, sounds and sensory soft play objects,  all within a safe environment that allows children and young people to explore and interact without risk. We are very excited to have the new facility at our north hub and must say a big THANK YOU to TESCO for supporting us with their donation.

With support from our Tesco donation we have been able to purchase the following items for our sensory room which is a great asset for YPAS and will hugely benefit children, young people and families accessing our services:

Amazing, thank you for the information and support. It's a scary world being a parent to a child with ASD but now I feel there is light at the end of a very dark tunnel. Such a lovely, friendly team. Thank you.

YPAS was the first organisation that took me in and also the quickest, Sonia helped me get through a very difficult stage in my life and has bettered me as a person. I feel better equipped to deal with situations in life and my mental health has improved overall because of it.

I felt progression and I found my strength and resilience through the sessions. I am proud of myself for staying strong and showing my commitment through the past months of my sessions. I also gained a handful of coping strategies and I maintained my balance by controlling my worries.
