What is SKY
SKY is an open access group for 16-25 year olds, where young people can access and receive support, information, guidance and advice.
“Watch this Space for Start Dates”.
About SKY
Delivered by qualified practitioners, the SKY project provides a safe and supportive space where young people can access and receive support, information, guidance and advice. Whilst taking direction from the `5 Ways of Wellbeing`, the psychosocial and educational learning sessions all aim to support and enhance mental health and wellbeing levels. Attendees gain the opportunity to develop healthy levels of life assisting coping strategies and problem-solving skills.
How will this service help me?
You will connect with young people your age and get the opportunity to create new peer support connections, working relations and friendships. You will gain confidence and build upon your self-esteem levels and social skills. You will also develop life skills and learn more about helpful life assisting strategies including exercise, relaxation tips, healthy eating and lifestyle advice and support.
Prior to a young person leaving the SKY group provision at the age of 25 years they will be offered end of service/transition sessions with one of our practitioners. In partnership, they will be supported to set SMART short and long-term goals and will be assisted to make connections with other services and agencies if required.
