Altered Perceptions: Look Closer

Let’s see things differently, through the eyes of each other….. Young women from YPAS (Young Persons’ Advisory Service) and Holly Lodge Girls College have been working together to develop an exhibition that explores themes and issues of relevance and importance to them and their peers. Using Tracey Emins’ My Bed, (1998) as a starting point for discussions and thoughts around mental health; sexuality; bullying; gender and identity the group have worked sensitively and thoughtfully to collate construct and curate a meaningful and interactive space. They will use Tate Exchange to share these themes with the public, inviting dialogue and challenging perceptions and celebrating women and their individualism.
