Children’s Mental Health Week 7 – 13th February 2022

Throughout Children’s Mental Health Week

The Young Person’s Advisory Service (YPAS)  will be running a range of wellbeing events including workshops and group activities for children and young people of all ages.

These will include:

LGBTQ+ Groups 

Thurs 3rd February  –  LGBTQ+ (16 – 25 years old) Chat and Chill in Central drop-in between 1-3 pm in partnership with the PAC Researchers, this event will be a space to come and chat about mental health as a community.

Weds 9th Feb GYRO are having a local trans poet, performer and activist deliver a workshop for our 12-16-year-old GYRO group in-person to create poems themed on expression, mental health, identity and LGBT+ History.

Thrive Group (Secondary School Aged children)

Thursday 10th February – The Comedy Trust will be attending to do a workshop to promote positive mental health through laughter and comedy.

Seedlings

The Seedlings team will be exploring their favourite childhood books and talking about them in relation to this year’s theme of growth. Look out for pictures of these sessions on our social media.
