Liverpool Mental Health Festival #lmhf16

Now in its 7th year, the festival runs from the 1st – 16th October 2016, featuring a host of activities and events including dance, music, talks, workshops and more. The festival programme is packed with art, films, training, workshops – all FREE.

During the festival YPAS are running various events and will have stall at the following:

Williamson Square Celebration – 8th October, 10-5pm @Williamson Square

YPAS will down in Williamson Square where there will be various other stalls, information, street theatre, roller skating demonstrations, drumming and opportunities or you to take part. Guest speakers include the Lord Mayor of Liverpool Roz Gladden, The Mayoral Lead for Mental Health Joanne Calvert an Dr. Sandra Oelbaum from Liverpool CCG.

Schools Open Space Event – 10th October @Bridge Chapel, Heath Road1-3:30pm

Established by the Liverpool Safeguarding Children’s Board, Schools Open Space Liverpool brings together schools and agencies that support and protect the welfare of local children.In collaboration with the Liverpool Children & Young People’s Mental Health & Emotional Wellbeing Partnership, this event is an opportunity to network and share good practice

World Mental Health Week Event – 10th October, 12-2pm @Knowsley College

YPAS will have a stall at the Knowsley College event on 10th October,at Stockbridge Lane site, celebrating and raising awareness for World Mental Health Week. Come along to our stand for more information, leaflets and a friendly smile.

Open Day – 8th October, 12-5pm @36 Bolton Street
YPAS will be open from 12-5pm to the public. Our staff will be available all day. There will be refreshments and snacks in our drop-in space as well as an open space for young people to perform music, readings, poetry etc around mental health and emotional wellbeing.

Intergenerational Trans* Evening – 10th October, 4:30-7pm @36 Bolton Street

THE Action Youth (YPAS’s Trans* Youth group) is organising an Intergenerational Trans* evening.Throughout the evening there will be music, inspirational guest speakers, short films, badge making and refreshments.
