National recognition for YPAS open-access mental health hubs

December 3, 2020

Young people’s mental health needs are growing. Open-access services are the solution.

YPAS are a proud member of the Liverpool CAMHS partnership and member of the national organisation: Youth Access. Youth Access, are always trying to create and take up opportunities to represent members to decision-makers, involving young people and frontline practitioners in these discussions as much as possible to share their first-hand experience.

This week, our CEO Monique and one of our Young Ambassadors, Daisy attended a joint cross-party panel event with the Children’s Society and YoungMinds. The event was a brilliant opportunity to bring together senior politicians, practitioners and young people to rally behind a common vision for the future of youth mental health provision on a national level.

Liverpool was highlighted for its exemplar approach; with the promotion of the CAMHS Partnership, Integrated Community Hubs and the early intervention model of YIAC (Youth, Information Advice & Counselling).

We are so proud of Daisy for sharing her experiences at the event, it is so important to hear the views and opinions directly from young people and this event was a brilliant national platform to do so. WELL DONE Daisy!
