As part of #UKCharityWeek YPAS staff, Trustees and Young People have been Santa dashing, cake making and non-stop dancing to raise money to support the mental health and emotional wellbeing needs of Liverpool’s children, young people and families.
- Sunday 3rd: a team of YPAS staff, trustees and young people took part in the Liverpool Santa dash with over 7500 other Santa’s in the city! A special mention goes to Pippa Smith who is 10 years old and not only ran the Santa dash at a super fast speed but she raised an amazing £255 for YPAS.
- Friday 8th : our Young Ambassadors and staff planned a “fancy-dance-a-thon” to raise money for YPAS, they were non – stop dancing in fancy dress from 1-3pm
- Through out the charity week itself some of our young people who attend our daily drop-in SKY group have also been baking cakes and sweet treats and collecting donations.
Kimberley Gardner, Marketing and Communications Officer for YPAS added:
“UK Charity Week is important for YPAS, as the campaign is designed to give people an opportunity to place awareness and fundraising for charities high on the national agenda at a time of the year when people are statistically at their most giving. For YPAS raising our profile is important, and fund raising is a fantastic and fun way to do this, Thank you to everyone who took part in the events and/or donated to YPAS”
